History of Haruhigaoka High School School
1963
Nagoya Daiichi Institute of Technology High School Kasugai campus is founded.
1965
Chubu Institute of Technology Attached High School is founded.
General Course : 1 class, Mechanical Course : 2classes, Electrical Course : 2classes
1967
Kasugai campus is closed.
1973
Electrical Course is closed.
1981
Gymnasium is completed.
1983
Name is changed to Chubu Institute of Technology Haruhigaoka High School.
1984
General Course becomes co-educational. Main school building is completed.
Name is changed to Chubu Institute of Technology Attached Haruhigaoka High School.
1985
All school buildings are completed. Twentieth anniversary of the foundation is celebrated.
Sister school relationship with Kelowna Secondary School(KSS), in Canada, is started.
1986
Teachers and students(volunteers) visit Kelowna for the first time.
Study tour to Okinawa is started.
1987
New ground is completed.
1989
Mechanical Course is closed.
1990
Name is changed to Haruhigaoka High School.
Haruhigaoka Junior High School is set up as an annex to Haruhigaoka High School.
Sister school relationship with George Pringal Secondary High School, in Canada, is started.
1993
Study tour to Canada (junior high school) is started.
1998
Study tour to Korea is started.
2000
Study tour to Australia is started.
Sister school relationship with Glenroza Middle School(GMS), Canada, is started.
2002
Delegation of juvenile exchange students from Kouso Province, China, is welcomed.
2004
Representaive of Canada Pavilion(International Echibition) addresses the students.
31 members of KSS are welcomed.
2005
East school building is completed. Fortieth anniversary of the foundation is celebrated.
2007
26 members of KSS are welcomed.
2008
39 members of GMS are welcomed.
*Apart from the groups of visitors listed on the History of Haruhigaoka High School, we welcomed individual exchange students from other countries in the world. Among them there have been 8 students within the last five years who have studied with us for more than 3 months at a time. Those students have represented the following 6 countries; Germany, Venezuela, America, Netherlands, Italy, and Mexico.
